The entrance hall is massive, pleasant and welcoming, thanks notably to the bay windows that look out onto the street and interior courtyard and let in floods of light. The theme of the Garnier opera, however, has remained the same, with photos covering the walls. The hotel was recently renovated in several phases, the last of which, in 2008, focused on the wall-to-wall carpeting and the corridors. The Opéra Garnier has always been a hotel and here again, we can see the usual care and effort put into the style of all Accor establishments, even if they don't all look alike. In the 30 superior rooms, the colours range from beige to dark brown and the level of service is higher, as seen in the welcome tray with tea, coffee, biscuits and a small bottle of water, not forgetting the bathrobes and slippers. The level of cleanliness is remarkable, even in the bathrooms, which, as for them, are rather nondescript. Despite being rather small, they each have a wardrobe, a relatively large desk, bedside tables and a flat screen satellite TV. The rooms are true to the Accor brand, from the colours (purple, burgundy red, white and pink, and light coloured wooden furniture) to its unpretentious elegance. The common areas stand out and are different from what you may expect from this hotel group.
It should be mentioned that all of the rooms are soundproof thanks to double glazed windows. They're simple but not dull, pleasant but without being overdone and well lit thanks to the large widows that look out onto the small Rue de l'Isly, onto the interior courtyard (quieter) or onto Rue Saint-Lazare, which is quite noisy. There are 110 standard rooms, which come as single or double bedrooms (with two single beds or one double bed), and they are all identical.
